Sometimes, I believe we rely too heavily on government intervention to solve all our problems.TANF, Food Stamps, Medicaid, Medicare, WIC, public school systems and government bailouts of private banks and corporations.Doesn’t this in some ways take away from our creativity to solve the problem on our own?Jefferson said “Dependence begets subservience and venality, suffocates the germ of virtue, and prepares fit tools for the designs of ambition [thiers].” I believe it does because we know that the government is going to step in and guide things.To most this means, we just sit back and let the government drive.So they decide where we go. I believe if things are going to be changed so we can accomplish what needs to be done, it is vital that the government takes a step back and the American people sit down into the driver seat for a while.No one knows better what needs to be accomplished than the people that are living their lives within society everyday. You know, that old of the people, by the people, for the people kind of thing where the people actually solve some of their own problems?We must get behind the wheels of our businesses and lives and make the choices we know need to be made and get this country moving again!
